Yesterday, Friday, the holiday honoring Saint George, Patron of Catalonia, I had the honor and pleasure of being able to sign copies of FLIGHT PLAN on the Ramblas of Girona, in the stand that the bookshop LLIBRERÍA 22, owned by my good friend Guillem Terribas, sets up every year on the busy Girona boulevard.
It was a unique experience where I could share unforgettable moments with some of the great names of Catalan and international literature...Josep Maria Fonalleras "Tres pedres d'or i altres contes: Josep Guardiola" , Joaquim Nadal "Moments de Girona", Josep Comalat "Olor de violetes", Joan-Daniel Bezsonoff "Un país de butxaca", Carles Ginès "El que es menjava a casa", Carles Monguilod "Vint-i-cinc anys i un dia"... and many others who were brought together by Guillem in the bookshop's stand.
Sincerely, for me they were moments never to be forgotten where, not only could I experience the ambience of Saint George's Day from the other side, that of the authors, but I was also able to personally greet many friends who had come to the Ramblas to get a taste of the unique spirit of the day that honors our Patron Saint.
I don't know if I'll ever be able to repeat this inspiring experience, and that's why I give thanks to God, and to my good friends Guillem Terribas and Carles Pineda, for having given me this opportunity!!!
