The musical warmth of the saxophone has always captivated me, and more specifically, the sound resulting from playing the soprano saxophone, as understood by a celebrity of this instrument like the saxophonist Kenny G... an absolute wonder!
It was for this reason that, after three years of starting my clarinet studies, I decided to begin studying the saxophone as a second instrument. The Three Kings brought me my first soprano saxophone (a YAMAHA YSS-475) on January 6, 2007, and within a few days, I started lessons with my good friend Jordi Parrot (tenora, saxophone, violin, voice of La Principal de la Bisbal)... since then, I have continued to practice and study it regularly, though not as often as I would like. Currently, I am playing a tenor saxophone and enjoy playing it with good friends.
Although I haven't been able to dedicate as much time to my new companion, the saxophone, as I dedicate to my other great musical friend, the clarinet, I am firmly convinced that, God willing, in the near future, we will be able to enjoy and indulge together many more times.
Just like with the clarinet, in this personal weblog, I would like to share with you some of the soprano/tenor saxophone scores I have had the luck to learn and play. Help yourselves!
